One of the best things about the pandemic was being home and working on Facebook nearly every night as part of the incredible Can't Stop The Blues team - winners of a 2022 KBA Award given by the Blues Foundation . It was during my time on Facebook that I met some amazingly talented musicians who have since become friends . Hector , alongside friend Ken Valdez , captivated audiences with their well-crafted songs done solo for much of the feeds , a passion for their craft , a sincerity that came across to audiences the world over , and a real compassion for what was happening to folks throughout the country and around the world . Their songs kept us in great company night after night . Their chats were our life-lines during this unprecedented catastrophe .
If you don't know Hector yet - 2020 winner of the solo/duo competition and the Memphis Cigar Box Award for top guitarist at the IBC ( International Blues Challenge); appearances at the Chicago Blues festival , Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise , Big Blues Bender in las Vegas .
