.

Event Highlights:

  • Charlie Apicella set the tone with a warm, rootsy opener of classic Delta blues.

  • Lonnie Shields took the stage and got the house hopping, backed by Jessie Loewy. Lonnie was absolutely mesmerizing—working the room, walking the crowd, and electrifying the entire lounge.

  • Dean Shot followed with a high-energy set, joined by special guest Jerry Scaringe, who stepped up to sing a few numbers and blow some harp.

  • Junior Mack then stormed the stage with some killer blues, showcasing his trademark fire and finesse.

  • Tony O wrapped up the night with his signature Chicago blues, playing both guitar and harp. He was backed by Chumslick Nick, delivering a powerhouse finale.

  • The evening closed with a memorable jam as special guests Brad Vickers and Margey Peters joined Tony O, Chumslick Nick, and Dean Shot for the perfect send-off.

A huge shout-out to Dean Shot on guitar and emcee, Earl Sauls on upright bass, and Eric Dupont on drums—who anchored the entire night and supported every artist with absolute class.

Special Recognition: Cristy Benvenutti honored the NJBS board with well-deserved awards: Joe Foti, Charlie Apicella, Kathi Skyta, Jimmy De, and Ray Cortese—thanking them for their tremendous work throughout the year.

Special guests in the house included Mike Griot and Filthy “Rich” MacPherson, adding even more sparkle to the night.
