Join NJBS with The Robert Hill Band at a new listening room at The Lounge, located at Factory Records in Dover, NJ. Doors open at 7, band hits at 8! The Lounge will take you on a trip through music nostalgia. It has an underground, Manhattan in the 60’s vibe. From its unique industrial feel to its vintage glam, with hanging velvets and chandeliers. Each unique sitting area features eclectic vintage furniture. Factory Records has a huge collection of vinyl, cds, cassettes, vintage stereo equipment and more- located in an old industrial warehouse- unique place, come check it out!

Robert Hill, originally from North Little Rock Arkansas, has been living in the NY/NJ area for the past 30 years. He was inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame in 2016. An award-winning artist, not only for his slide guitar work, but also for his songwriting, winning in numerous songwriting competitions. His latest release, Revelation, made the 2023 Grammy ballot for Best Traditional Blues Album, and has been charting on the RMR, NACC, UK IBBA , and Australian Blues & Roots charts since it’s release September 2022. He has shared the stage with Levon Helm, (The Band) John McEuen,(Nitty Gritty Dirt Band), Kim Simmonds, (Savoy Brown), Rick Danko, (The Band), Rory Block, Debbie Davies, and numerous others.

Rounding out the rhythm section are veterans, Frank Pagano on drums, Ed Alstrom on keys, and Steve Gelfand, bass. All have toured and recorded with some of the biggest names in music including, Bruce Springsteen, Hall & Oates, Donald Fagen, Al Green, Blondie, Gladys Knight, Smashing Pumpkins, Levon Helm, Dr. John, Chuck Berry, Odetta, Al Cooper, Steven Van Zandt…the list goes on and on. They have also performed in countless Broadway productions.

The band adds their own unique interpretations to traditional blues classics, as well as performing many of their own compositions. With searing slide guitar, exceptional vocals, and a rhythm section of seasoned veterans, they are known for jaw-dropping, entertaining performances.
